Student Organizations

Career and Technical Student Organizations, commonly referred to as CTSOs, are youth organizations designed to support students in career and technical education (CTE) programs.

CTSOs are considered an integral part of CTE - they help students develop the technical and leadership skills that will enable them to succeed in their career paths. All students enrolled in the Career Center will be eligible to participate in one of the six student organizations depending on the program in which they enrolled. The following youth organizations are active in the district, state, and national contests, have officers, participate in community projects, and enjoy a wide range of club activities.

Additionally, students may get involved in National Technical Honor Society. There will be two opportunities for students who are nominated by their instructors and qualify, to apply - one in the Fall and another in the Spring. The JELCC National Technical Honor Society Induction Ceremony will be held in the late Spring. Contact Diane Steffey for more details.
